Salve a Tutti…
Hello to Everybody…
This time I wanted to “revive” the old models and give them a breath of fresh air.
They are the Khorne’s Berserker. =D
The sprue, although it is a little bit old, looks pretty clean. You can create different Khorne Berserker with singular positions. They are all armed for close combat, but you can equip them with additional weapons or various trophies.
I preferred to mount the Berserker, keeping aside the heads so as to be able to devote to them later. I decided to paint them with a different color and not the usual “Red”…
And now let’s see the first pictures ….
LEGENDA COLORI: GW = GAMES WORKSHOP – VAL = VALLEJO – W&N = WINSOR & NEWTON.
KEY COLORS: GW = GAMES WORKSHOP – VAL = VALLEJO – W&N = WINSOR & NEWTON.
Colore “Rosso”:
Colore base: “Scab Red” GW .
Honestly, knowing that these miniatures are to play, I did not pay much attention to paint them …
As a “primer” I used the color “Black Primer “aerosol, of GW. Then I adopted a color Blue / Red …
Color “Red”:
Base color : “Red Scab” GW. Then, starting from the bottom, I added a small amount of Red Gore GW. After each step of color I performed the “washing” with “Baal Red” diluted 50% with water.
For the highlights, I added to the base color some “Blood Red” GW with the following proportion: 1 “Base color” / 1″Blood Red” always diluted. To complete these areas, after a “wash” with “Baal Red” I used directly the “Blood Red” in proportion: 1 “BR” / 2 water. For the effect of the “light strokes” I traced some lines with the “Blazing Orange” well diluted and the “Golden Yellow” GW.
Colore ” Blu”.
Color “Blue”.
Base color: “Chaos Black” GW mixed with a small amount of “Ultramarine Blue” GW. To paint the lighter areas I added to the base color (“Chaos Black” + “Ultramarine Blue”) an additional percentage: 3 “UB” / 1 Base color / 3 water. I repeated this step until reaching the desired effect. To accentuate the effect of the light areas I used only the ‘“UB” well diluted. For the “light strokes” I drew small lines with “Space Wolf Grey” GW.
Parti ” Metalliche ” dorate:
Parti ” Metalliche”:
Colore base : “Fortress Grey” Gw .
“Metallic” Golden Parties:
I used the same procedure that I had explained in the “Lizardman’s article”. Only on the shoulder straps I burdened the color …. =)
“Metallic” Parties :
Base color: “Fortress Grey” Gw. “Dry” with “Badab Black” GW. For the shady areas I added to the base color a small amount of color Black, enough to darken it. For the lighter areas I used the base color diluted in proportion: 1 “FG” / 2 Water. Not covering the previous step, I added the color white to the base color and I rehearsed the highlights. For the “light strokes” I used the pure White color sketching fine lines.
Icons of chaos:
After drawing the guidelines with a pencil I covered the drawing with the color “Desert Yellow” GW, diluted. To finish off the edges; “Sunburst Yellow” GW.
Armi e Backpack:
Ecco i lavori finiti….
Spero che vi piacciano….
Weapons and Backpack:
Base color: “Dark Angel Green” GW darkened with Black and diluted with water. At the base color I added a lot of “DAG” to lighten and from about half of the weapon, I climbed to obtain the required area to be painted clear. At the “DAG” I added the “Snot Green” GW in proportions of 2 “DAG” / 1 “SG” / 2 water I painted the upper part of the ‘weapon. To this mixture I added the “Scorpion Green” in proportion GW 2 “ADI” / 1 “SG” / 2 “SG”, and always well diluted, I painted the areas of greater light. I finished painting the piece of thin yellow stripes for the effects of “light strokes”
Bases:
For the soil ot the bases I spread a thin layer of glue and the “Modelling Sand” GW. When the glue has dried, I painted the whole thing with Brown, (I made a “wash” with the “Devlan Mud” GW, and above I have used the technique of “dry brushing” with the Light Brown, Yellow, and “Bleached Bone” GW.
Here is the finished work ….
I hope you enjoy ….
